Who we are

Cereus is a UK financial planning and savings platform focused on family life. This page explains how we handle personal data on this waitlist site.

What we collect on this site

• Email address when you submit the waitlist form, so we can send product updates you asked for.
• A record that you ticked the consent box, including the time and the privacy/terms version in force, so we can show we had a lawful basis to email you or process survey answers.
• Optional product preferences (for example leave planning, saving, or income on leave) when you select them, so we can understand what to build first.
• Technical data supplied by your browser and our hosting provider. This typically includes IP address, user agent, browser and operating system, language, timezone, screen size, and an approximate location (country, region, and city derived from IP). We use this for abuse prevention, security, and understanding rough traffic patterns.
• Campaign parameters (UTM) when they appear in the page URL, stored with your signup so we can see which posts, ads, or partners led someone to the list.
• Referrer when your browser sends a prior page address, if available, to understand entry paths alongside UTMs.
• If you complete the research survey: your answers, email address, and technical metadata (for example IP address, browser, timezone, screen size, locale, and campaign parameters) so we can analyse responses, prevent spam, and email you a copy of what you submitted.

How we use your data

We use waitlist data to send occasional updates about Cereus, Future Family Saver, and related launches; to measure whether campaigns are working; and to keep the service secure. Survey answers are used only to research product fit. We do not sell your personal information and we do not use this list for unrelated third-party marketing.

Legal basis (UK GDPR)

Where you enter your email to hear from us, we rely on consent. You give that consent by actively ticking an unticked box on the form (not by submitting alone). You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails. Survey answers are processed on the basis of consent for product research only; completing the survey does not add you to the marketing waitlist. For security logs, bot protection, and limited technical identifiers, we rely on legitimate interests in running a secure, reliable site, balanced against your rights.

Who we share data with

We use trusted processors to deliver email (for example Resend) and infrastructure required to host the site. Processors act on our instructions and must protect your data under contract.

Retention

We keep mailing-list records while you remain subscribed or until we no longer need them for a legitimate purpose, then delete or anonymise them in line with our internal retention rules.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights for data collected on this site, contact us at info@cereus.app. If you are unhappy with how we handle a request, you may complain to the ICO (Information Commissioner's Office).

Cookies and similar technologies

This waitlist site is designed to be lightweight. Any cookies or local storage used are limited to what is needed for the page to function (for example security or bot protection where enabled by our hosting stack). We do not run third-party advertising pixels on this waitlist page.

Children

Our services are aimed at adults making financial plans. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16 through this waitlist.

We may update this policy as the product or legal context evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
